Move Over Olympics, Now Lillehammer has Steven Van Zandt

A year or so ago,
while looking through my kitchen window,
I noticed a film crew making a LOT OF HOOPLA over a bunch of people ice skating on the sports complex across the street.
Not exactly a surprising vision because the local film school is always out and about with their film projects.
had I known what was REALLY going on,
GOODNESS would have been out there, and in on the GRIT!
Come to find out, a new television series has been created staring Steven Van Zandt , best known as Little Steven, solo artist and guitarist in Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, as well as as the character Silvio Dante from The Sopranos, AND the series is being filmed here in Lillehammer!
The show will follow New York mobster Frank “The Fixer” Tagliano (Van Zandt) as he enters the federal witness protection program after ratting on his boss.
A sports fan, Frank wants to make his new life in Lillehammer, the Norwegian town that hosted the 1994 Winter Olympics, or as he calls it “Lilyhammer.”
Frank has visions of a paradise with “clean air, fresh white snow and gorgeous broads” far away from the temptations of the Big Apple and the mob.
Reality, of course, turns out to be spectacularly different.
As Netflix moves away from physical DVDs and into streaming movies and television shows, guess which show is going to be their debut venture?
The Olympics may have put Lillehammer on the map, but I believe Van Zandt is gonna ROCK this town.
Netflix will run 8 hourlong episodes in its first season and will premiere on Monday, February 6.
Now, to get a role!?!
Steven-Baby, LOOK ME UP!
I´m your girl!
